County surveyor Duane Katt offered a detailed report to county commissioners Tuesday in response to a state audit that indicated possible payment violations, though his attorney rejected the county’s claim that Katt’s salary was set prior to his election, and is therefore not subject to change.
Grand Island attorney David Huston spoke on Katt’s behalf, saying that his client does not owe the county any money.
