Rita M. Obermeier, 95, of rural Giltner died on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society, Grand Island.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Giltner.  Celebrating Mass will be Father Mark Seiker.  Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Giltner with a 7 p.m. Rosary.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be determined at a later date.  All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Rita was born on February 26, 1929 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Daniel and Leona (Bassett) Kline.  She was raised on the family farm near Trumbull, graduating from Trumbull High School in 1946.  
She was united in marriage to Clyde Obermeier on August 23, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard.  Rita farmed along with her husband in rural Giltner.  She was also did housecleaning for others for over 45 years.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Giltner and a member of the Altar Society.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Steven Obermeier of rural Giltner; daughter, Janice (Richard) Morse of Littleton, CO; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Rose Kehn of Hastings, plus other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Clyde; her parents; two daughters-in-law, Anita and Norma and five brothers and sisters and their spouses.
