Hampton businesses helped kick off the holiday season Monday, opening their doors for the fifth annual community Christmas celebration.

On a crisp but seasonably warm evening, Main Street in Hampton was buzzing with activity.

"We ask for everybody’s help and that makes a lot of difference to get so many people involved," said Danielle Bamesberger, who helped coordinate the event on behalf of the Hampton Community Club. "Each year we kind of see what’s worked and what hasn’t and try to add on to make it a little bit better. This year we added outdoor music, which I thought was nice."
