Body

Carlos Collazo may not be human.

The Aurora junior ran through and past Scottsbluff's defense, tying Aurora's single-game school record for rushing yards with 285 on 29 carries and four touchdowns as Aurora defeated Scottsbluff, 34-14 Friday night in the Class B quarterfinals.

Collazo scored on runs of 4, 41, 31 and 42 yards and now has 24 touchdowns on the season.

Collazo totaled 285 yards Friday night, which tied Jerry Lobeda's mark of 285 from 2008. Collazo broke the single game rushing touchdown mark with six against York earlier this year and is now two scores from breaking the season record of 25, shared by Aaron Collingham and Preston Dibbern of 1995 and 2015.

The game was still in question at half with Aurora only leading 14-7 and tied at 14-all after Scottsbluff's Braden Stull took off on a 70-yard score.

From there, though, Aurora held the Bearcats scoreless in the final 23 minutes and 20 unanswered points.

The Huskies will be at home again next Friday for the Class B semifinals as Omaha Skutt comes to town with a trip to Memorial Stadium on the line.
