Ed Van Landingham - May 17, 2013Edward ‘Ed’ Van Landingham, 71, of Aurora, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at the Evangelical Free Church in Aurora. Rev. Vance Christie will officiate. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.

Edward Van Landingham, son of Guy and Beulah Evelyn (Sanders) Van Landingham, Jr., was born at Phoenix, Ariz., on July 26, 194.
Ed was raised in Buckeye and helped with cotton farming while in high school. Upon graduation of high school, he entered the military and served with the First Division out of Fort Riley, Kan., where he was a rear echelon mechanic spending some time stationed in Germany. After his service he was employed in the agriculture sector until pursuing a career as a waste water treatment plant operator working his way to a Class 4 license. He was employed at the wastewater treatment plant facility in Aurora, eventually becoming the site supervisor.
Ed enjoyed being a ham radio operator and member of the CB clubs. He also collected Avon and coins and shared that love with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was active in the Boy Scout community and served as a Troop Leader. Ed was a member of the Lions Club and dedicated his service to the Lord with the Evangelical Free Church in Aurora.
Survivors include the love of his life, Donia (Edelman) Van Landingham; father, Guy Van Landingham; daughter, Barbara; grandchildren, Audrey, Edward, Vicki Newcomb, Sarah (Nick) Becker, Katherine (fiancé Cory Loveland) and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Edward, Jr. and CoralAnn Van Landingham and Alec Massing. He is also survived by sisters, Sharon (Robert) Raynor of Arizona, Karen (Jake) Stevens of Arizona and Joan (Keith) Maddox of Texas; brother, John (Whilma) Van Landingham of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.
