County backs project PDF E-mail

It took more than two hours of debate and input from city and county officials, the sheriff, police chief and the public, but in the end Hamilton County commissioners voted to move forward with the proposed expansion and remodeling plan at the Hamilton County Law Enforcement Center.

Construction of the $900,000-plus project is contingent on an interlocal agreement with the City of Aurora that they would shoulder somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 percent of the cost. To read more, see this week's print or e-editions.
