War memories still vivid PDF E-mail

He was just 18 years, 113 pounds and the gravity of what he was doing with the rifle hadn’t really hit him.
He understood a little German, enough to know that the soldiers he guarded were calling him “little kid” over and over.
“For someone who was just out of high school it was scary,” said Max Friesen of Hampton.
