|High Plains hosts postponed track invitational|
Despite being postponed by five days due to winter weather conditions, area teams had another strong outing when High Plains hosted its annual invitational Monday.
Giltner claimed the girls championship with 142 points, edging runner-up Nebraska Christian by eight. High Plains was fourth with 55 -- just three away from third-place Nebraska Lutheran -- and Hampton was fifth with 42.
On the boys side, the Hornets and Storm finished second and third with 115.5 and 87 points, respectively, while the Hawks were seventh with 16.5 points.
