County valuation nearing $2 billion PDF E-mail

Record new growth in Hamilton County’s real property has the county nearing the $2 billion mark in valuation -- and that doesn’t include personal property or special assessments.

“Harry S. Truman once said ‘the buck stops here.’ Well in the assessor’s office, the buck starts here,” county assessor Pat Sandberg told Hamilton County commissioners Monday morning.

She was referring to the more than $9 million in new growth found by her four-person staff during the 50 days they were out in the county.
