Sequestration -- a series of deep budget cuts designed to forcibly shrink federal spending by $1.2 trillion over the next 10 years -- has claimed another casualty, and this one is local and hitting the elderly.

Budget cuts at the Frank M. Farr Senior Center in Aurora have resulted in some belt-tightening moves that include closing the center on Mondays, beginning April 1.
