Huskies take 2nd at districts PDF E-mail

Aurora was poised for a big run at the B-3 District tournament in York.
The Huskies won seven of their eight first-round matches, but won just six of its 17 bouts in the next two championship rounds combined, tumbling to fifth in the team standings. Aurora regrouped to win six of nine in the heartbreak round (consolation semifinals) and have seven qualify for this week’s state meet.
“It was not our best performance,” head coach Bill Wofford admitted. “We had some kids who wanted to be there, some kids who didn’t want to be there. We’re coming to the close, and we’ve got seven going to state.”
