Signing day PDF E-mail

Wednesday was signing day in America, which meant student-athletes across the country were announcing their intentions to continue their athletic careers. In Aurora, senior Ehren Schwarz (pictured here) signed a letter of intent to play football at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., where his father, Bret, pictured at right in his Washburn letter jacket, played almost 30 years ago. Also pictured are Husky coach Scott Jones, Caleb Schwarz, coach Nate Larson, Dawson Schwarz, and coach Randy Huebert.

Also signing on Wednesday were Tanner Fate of High Plains, who will play football at Hastings College; Dillon Gartner of Giltner, who will play football at Western Community College; and Shayne Vaught of Giltner, who signed to play volleyball at Kansas Wesleyan.
