Engineer set to examine courthouse PDF E-mail

Regardless of who or what is to blame for slate shingles falling off of the Hamilton County Courthouse roof, the problem is scheduled to be resolved beginning March 5 when Midland Engineering comes on site to inspect the roof and begin repairs.


For months, even years, Hamilton County Commissioners have been dealing with roof problems and turning claims into the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA).

That came to a halt when NIRMA contracted with a private engineer for a third-party roof inspection and his report came back noting what he called "shoddy workmanship" was to blame.
