Streeter group supports Thomas plan for senior housing development PDF E-mail

 

Representatives with the Frank M. and Alice Farr Trust and the Wortman Family Charitable Trust announced in April their combined purchase of a 117-acre parcel bordered by 1st Street and Highway 34. The land was sold by Mosaic, a social ministry organization which owns and operates Bethpage Village in Axtell. It had previously been owned by Delmar and Alice Matson, and is often referred to locally as the Matson property. Less than nine months after two local foundations combined resources to purchase land on the city’s western edge for future community development, leaders say they support a proposal to build a 14-unit senior housing complex on the property.
