Preliminary plans were unveiled this week for a 14-unit senior housing project, which could be the first development in the 117-acre Matson property purchased last year by two local foundations.
Matt Thomas, president of the California-based Dana Point Development Corp., explained his vision in a brief public meeting Jan. 8 at the Bremer Center.

“Nothing has been platted yet, but what we are wanting to do is build 14 units restricted to seniors 55 and over,” Thomas said of a development to be known as Cottage Park.
