Speaking at the recent CROP-TIP field day in York, Kevin Abts of CropMetrics, LLC, based out of North Bend, shared a message of how data is used to increase efficiency in the field. "We focus on the data side of farming and what we think is the next evolution to agriculture, this intense use of data," he said. To illustrate his point, Abts played a video of an ATV pulling a sled on a dry field. That sled wasn’t any normal sled though, as it was measuring the soil texture and slope, among other characteristics of the field. To read more, see this week's print or e-editions |
