Stockham celebrates 125th PDF E-mail

The tiny village of Stockham was bustling this weekend, a throwback to an earlier era when area folks would come to town to sell grain, shop at the grocery store and watch free movies on the side of a downtown building.

Only one of those buildings is still standing and all but 45 or so residents have long since moved away after the railroad pulled out and the school closed its doors. Community pride is still strong, however, and several hundred people with a link to the southern Hamilton County town gathered to celebrate its 125th anniversary.
