Building permits total $6.7M PDF E-mail

Construction activity started slowly in 2011, but finished with a flurry in the final two months to end the year with $6.7 million worth of building permits.

Following November’s $3.14 million total, the December report showed only four permits, though they added up to $607,900. Aurora Cooperative began building a $220,000 fueling station at 2530 Harvest Drive; Quality Investments (T.O. Haas) issued a $155,000 permit for an expansion of its Highway 14 facility; and Hamilton Sales & Service’s new owners are already making visible progress on a new $172,900 structure, also located on Highway 14. Randy Nutzman’s $60,000 fence/inground pool at 110 Wexford Road was the fourth and final permit for the month.
