Health-conscience consumers looking for a place to buy home-grown, whole-grain products can now find what they’re looking for in downtown Aurora.

Grain Place Foods, a certified producer of organic whole grains and seeds, has teamed up with Espressions Coffee Shop to form what both parties consider to be a natural partnership.
“We have received a lot of support from local businesses here and we’d like to be able to return that to others,” said Dave Vetter, owner of the Marquette-based organic farming operation. “We’ve been talking about this for a long time and it seemed like a natural partnership.”
As of early May, a display case in the downtown eatery features 25 of Grain Place Foods’ best-selling items. Harry and Wenda Eckerson, co-owners of a business now in its 10th year of operation, said they were pleased to add the new product line, noting that the seeds for the partnership were actually planted several years ago.
“It’s neat that local businesses can team up together like this,” Harry said. “We think it’s kind of a win-win situation for everyone.”
