The corner of Highways 14 and 34 is coming back to life with last week’s opening of MC & Sons Service and Repair.
Named originally for Mike Carlson’s trucking business, a trio of partners decided to leave the name on the sign the same for their new automotive repair venture.

“We originally got the shop to work on our own stuff and since we had the space we thought we might as well make it into a service center,” said Kris Willcock. He and Mike Carlson recently invited Kansas native Ray Throckmorton into the fold and the three of them opened for business Feb. 1.
“The focus of the business will be service,” Willcock explained. “We’ll work on all makes and models and later on we’re hoping to get into semis and bigger trucks as well.”
