Ad hoc committee to consider joint-use facility in Hampton PDF E-mail

The Hampton School Board voted Monday to form an ad hoc committee with members of the village board and possibly the Hampton Lutheran School Board to consider working together on a joint-use facility.
Village board members floated the idea at their February and March meetings, due in part to concerns with an aging city hall/maintenance facility. There have been no formal discussions between the two groups, though school board president Matt Arndt said if there are any shared needs, he believes it makes sense to start talking together about that concept sooner than later.

 
MCC sale sets record PDF E-mail

Even though fewer items were on the auction block for this year’s Nebraska Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Relief Sale, it was another record year.
This year’s sale, held Friday and Saturday at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, brought in $217,544.06, bringing the 34-year event’s total near the $4.6 million mark.
