Aurora junior Luke Grossnicklaus won medalist honors at the Central Conference meet in York Friday, carding an impressive round of 77 on a cold, windy day for golf. Ben Grossnicklaus was sixth and Troy McDonald 15th, helping the Huskies finish second with a score of 353. See this week's print or e-edition for details.

 
Street work making progress PDF E-mail

Mother Nature lent M.E. Collins Contracting Co. a helping hand last week, as good weather contributed to fast progress on rebuilding several intersections in Aurora.
City public works director Rick Melcher said three intersections -- 5th and M, 6th and M, and 10th and M -- have already reopened to traffic. The approaches on the north side of all three corners were rebuilt.
