Random acts of kindness echo true meaning of Christmas PDF E-mail

Four young Aurora girls are trying hard to instill the true meaning of Christmas in friends, neighbors and even strangers -- living out their faith by doing good deeds.

They’re known as Emma, Sophie, Ruby and Greta -- they don’t want their last names used because it’s not about them, they said, it’s about finding a way to make a difference in someone’s life at such a blessed time of year.

They’re doing it by living out their faith doing good deeds. In their case, it’s random acts of kindness.

A second BNSF line PDF E-mail

A second line of railroad tracks is now being utilized on the south edge of Phillips as a Burlington Northern Santa Fe expansion project nears its final phase.
BNSF began building a second line of tracks between Phillips and Grand Island just over a year ago and is now substantially finished, according to BNSF spokesperson Andy Williams. See this week's print or e-edition for details.
